What an HONOR you who care, share! NEEDS... That's Right, I've said it! I am entirely unworthy, but often "arrested" by God. Happens only during Worship. I have no control during that event, my entire body, including my voice, is paralyzed by His spirit as a volcano of tears erupt from the depths of my being, seldom, but sometimes from hidden closets I find I had locked to avoid detailed dealing with painful people and events that hurt me deeply. Sometimes, I am arrested over lost ministry opportunities, known or unknown, or the burdens of wondering if I had failed someone somehow, or given a direct burden to pray instantly for someone or circumstance. Most of these arrests during Worship however come out of nowhere to blast me with the truth that God keeps complete PERSONAL care and control over me, loves me unconditionally, has forgiven all my failures to be perfect in His eyes to His standards, and honors me with consistent Christian fruit that pleases Him from the most unworthy man on planet earth to lead a Christian Ministry of any kind. I am arrested so He has my full attention and cannot talk back to Him while He speaks... I was arrested this morning in my Sunday morning Church where I worship personally, during Worship, singing a song I have sang for at least 55 of my 60 years, "I have decided to follow Jesus, no turning back, no turning back"... as I have followed, now in my 10th year in this specific calling. During that song all these 10 years of Ministry related bloody noses, numerous heartbreaks, rejections, seaons of grief and homeless poverty I could never imagine in my comfort zone, and spiritual warfare batttles and wounds...they all erupted to wash over my mind and heart at once...forcing me to recall there was indeed a huge personal price to pay for the honor of serving God through Layman Lessons Ministries far greater than I was able to bear personally, and that my God has brought them THROUGH them all as HE promised, giving me new Christian friends and a new Church family after taking so many away in painful personal rejections that left many scars, enough to give me a small taste of how Jesus felt when his hometown friends and 55 Disciples all abandoned him, except for 12...so I will state the needs, including my personal needs to fill some huge personal voids in my life, God willing. I will state the need and let God do what HE wants in hearts only HE knows and calls. There, I've said it. I am tired of choking on it. God deserves the credit. Downtown Building we can use for full time Homeless and Needy Ministries...there, I've said it. Churches with the Human and Financial Resources AND calling of God to help expand these ministries to fulfill the original vision God gave me from the start for 130 "Franchise Ministries" operated by local Churches across America, with this Nashville Ministry being the "Franchise Headquarters" to support! There, I've said it. I have choked on it far too long to avoid other Churches offended by the vision or criticism from people who tell me to forget the vision. I cannot. New Generator to replace the new generator stolen from our locked Ministry Van. Volunteers to pick up and transport Food Donations. Mechanic for our Busses, Truck, and Cargo Van Secured Building and/or lot we can use for our vehicles and inventory storage OPERATIONS FUNDING...we need regular, dependable funding for our Operations. A volunteer with a "couple of hours a week" would help immensely in this area. An Operations Coordinator out there? SATURDAY MORNING VOLUNTEERS...need 8-12 Volunteers every Saturday MORNING! Martha Pfeil has been the only lady to work the Clothing Bus, where we need at least 5 every Saturday! Meet your 3 New Brothers! Eyes reveal the relief from the burden of having no hope. Faces reveal joy of being rescued. Of 9 Repenters these 3 became Christians yesterday because YOU care.
(Left) Chuck Klusener, what is left of Martha Pfeil since she has lost over 60 pounds (congratulations!), Clyde Beavers (Center), and Richard Gay (far right) are the 3 Heroes responsible for rescuing the Homeless in 2011. Clyde's friend and 1 Church Volunteer rounded out the only 5 Volunteers to serve the Homeless yesterday, doing double duty to cover for volunteers scheduled but who did not show up. I am convinced God does not want these 3 Super Heroes to have to do all the work involved to host 100+ Homeless on Saturday mornings.
We are the ONLY ministry serving hot coffee to 100-160 Homeless, furnishing a 1,600 sf tent with nice chairs and tables, an Hour of Praise and Worship music followed by a full Church service with singing, preaching, spiritual counseling and prayer, a hot banquet meal, a sack lunch to go, and a change of Clothes from our Clothes Bus complete with underwear, socks, and grooming items. Caring for their physical needs provides opportunity to serve their spiritual needs, evidenced by 8,481 Homeless Repenters in this, our 10th year. I cannot help but laugh at those many who laughed at me and said "It will not last". Maybe it won't, but 10 years and 8,481 Homeless souls rescued from Hell on Earth and hereafter is a real good start...to God be the Glory!
