PRAISE REPORT AND PRAYER REQUESTS...

We were blessed with year end donations that brought us current on our bills and supplies inventory and still provided our first positive balance at year end in 5 years!  We have accounting needs to fund, and we have a wonderful new supporter in our new Accountant Glen Hughes, CPA, who is making it possible to keep our books in current condition, for which we are extremely grateful.  

NEEDS... 

Attorney...we have 2 vehicles being held hostage by mechanics who are trying to steal the vehicles through the "mechanics lien" process by claiming outrageous amounts of repairs that were not authorized to perform.  Layman Lessons Ministries is a Tennessee Non Profit Corporation, a 501c3 Church, that only a licensed attorney can represent in Tennessee Courts.  We need an attorney to get our property back.

OPERATIONS FUNDING...we need regular, dependable funding for our new Operations Supervisor, Ben Floyd, 28 year old student at Nashville Auto Diesel College and a U.S. Marine who served 5 years.  Ben is contracted to insure that our Saturday Street Ministry gets set up and taken down each week, so our Church volunteers can spend more time sharing directly with our Homeless guests.  Ben will also oversee transportation of our food collections and distribution efforts.  We welcome Ben and need to provide for his service to our Ministries to lead our Operations efforts.  This does not mean we do not need volunteers because Ben cannot do it all by himself, no more than I could or anyone else...it takes us all to get it done and we still need a minimum of 8-12 volunteers each and every week to get the work done.  What it does mean, is that now we should never have to cancel again because nobody showed up to help.  I could not stand by and let that happen again, so if we cannot get volunteers from Churches, we now have Ben.
