Former Homeless Tony Baldwin now a Ministry Intern!

Tony loved his full time job driving a forklift we arranged for him last December when he left the Streets to join our program. Tony proved himself at work, as a leader of our Homeless men in our Training Centers, and as a Christian.

Tony chose to attend Judson Baptist Church on Franklin Road, loves his Men's Sunday School Class led by Mark Leath, and Pastor Gene Mims, who publicly set a tone of acceptance and encouragement of our Homeless men in our Training Center.

Several Churches asked me not to attend with our Homeless these 7 years, so Pastor Gene and the good people of Judson Baptist Church are a great encouragement.

August 1, 2009 Tony asked for and accepted our full tme Ministry Intern position as Training Center Leader, thanks to our supporter that generously provides apartments for our Training Center ministry...without his housing, we have no Training Center! (Yes, he does not want to be recognized!)

Tony works 5 days weekly picking up food and clothing donations, operating our Blessingdales Christian Thrift Center in Madison, TN. Tony tirelessly works Saturdays as a Lead Volunteer, to serve the very Homeless population he came from last Christmas! This is what it is all about...showing God we appreciate our own rescue by serving others in His name!

So far in 2009, 14 formerly homeless men have left our Training Center sober, with full time jobs, with a purpose and mission to reconcile with their families, putting marriages back together, restoring relationships, and demonstrating Godly servant leadership to love their loved ones. What an honor.

Since 2003, over 1,000 Homeless men and women were helped off the Streets to Christian Training Centers, restored and reconciled with family with the help of Layman Lessons Ministries...we were there when they needed us most.

We must have your prayers, volunteer hands and feet, and financial support to restore our Training Center operations to be there when the "Tony Baldwins" need us most!
