Chocolate-Covered Strawberries
I love to make chocolate-covered fruit for parties. It's super easy and always a big hit!
Ingredients:
10 ounces semi-sweet or milk chocolate chips
1 /2-1 tablespoon of shortening
12 strawberries
Directions:
- Mix the chocolate chips and shortening in a small pot over low heat until melted.
- Holding the strawberries by the stem, dip into the chocolate mixture until completely covered. If the mixture is too thick to evenly cover the strawberries, turn the heat up slightly, being careful not to burn the chocolate.
- Set the chocolate-covered strawberries on wax paper until the chocolate is completely dry.
It's that easy! I use this recipe for chocolate-covered cherries also. Enjoy!
