During our school day here at home, my kids are always piling their work up on the table for me to grade. Before long, I have this huge pile of papers, books, and folders lying all around me. I think to myself, Surely there has to be a way to organize all this mess.

So I started searching the Internet and found some neat ways to organize schoolwork. These ideas would also benefit those of you who have children in private and public school.

Don't forget about organizing yourself for emergency preparedness as well! We are right in the middle of hurricane season, and you and your family could be affected by the storms. Get prepared by purchasing my September Digest, which is all about planning for emergencies.

Here is a recap of what we shared on the blog last week, just in case you missed a post or two.

Hi Molly Members!

September member freebies are now up and ready for you to view!

Here is one of the fun and exciting freebies we are offering this month.

What in the world are we homeschooling for anyway? Surely someone else could do this better!

Have you ever thought this or something similar?

Many things can come and steal your courage to continue on. Your foundation reveals a lot about the strength of your homeschool. If it is weak and the storms of life descend, your homeschool may collapse!

Strengthen your convictions, lay your foundation, and add pillars of strength as you read
Is Your Homeschool Ready to Collapse By Deborah Wuehler

To get this freebie, you have to be a Molly Member!

As you can see, September focuses on emergency preparedness and is chock-full of helpful tips and creative ideas. Feather Your Nest is an especially creative (and frugal!) example this month. You'll find checklists, pantry lists, resources, kids' activities, and much more. And Penny Raine shares how she went from being a successful California businesswoman to a "no longer self-driven but love-driven" mother with eight children on a horse farm in Tennessee. Living frugally is not something she has to do; it is something she chooses to do. Inspiring stuff!

And, of course, you'll find all kinds of freebies and extra goodies on the August members freebie page. Can't wait to see you there!

Not a member yet? Don't miss out. Click this link today to become a Molly Member yourself! For only $3.95, it is well worth it.

Hey, I Can Make That!
Create a Kitchen Command Center

I love this idea of having a command center where everything I need to sign or see is right at my fingertips. Now if I could train the family to put all their paperwork there, we will be doing good!

Here are some ideas to help you and your child get organized regarding schoolwork.

Ranch Style Oyster Crackers

These crackers are some of my favorite snacks! They are super easy to make and don't require many ingredients.

Ingredients
1 package of oyster crackers
1/3 cup of oil (you can use whatever kind of oil you have on hand)
1 packet of Hidden Valley Ranch Dressing Mix (it is a powder that you get on the dressing aisle)

Directions
Mix the ranch powder and the oil together and pour on crackers. Mix well so that the oil mixture coats all the crackers. Bake in a preheated 300 degree oven for about 15 minutes or until slightly browned.

These are delicious AND addictive!
