Greetings!

August is one of the hottest months of the year where I live. One of the best ways to beat the heat is to stay hydrated. How do I do that? That is a great question!
By the time you finish reading this newsletter, both you and I will be better informed on how we can keep ourselves hydrated and our bodies healthy during this gigantic heat wave!
In fact, the temperatures in my area right now are topping 100 with heat indexes of up to 115 degrees! If we don't properly hydrate our bodies, we can suffer from headaches, heat exhaustion, and fatigue.
Let's make it a point from here on out to drink more and stay healthy and well.

My August Money-Saving Digest is now available for download on your member pages. Be sure to check out the freebies page for August, with back-to-school printables, canning printables and so much more that you will not want to miss out on.
In fact, one of my staff member's favorite freebie this month happens to be this one:

She is just learning the art of freezer cooking and has found this resource to be one of great value.
In order to get this freebie, however, you must be a Molly Member!
I've also added some more goodies to the main Members Resource Page. You'll find a list of groceries typically on sale each month as well as a listing of frugal travel-related sites. Don't forget to check this page frequently. Remember, it is your one-stop shop for frugal resources. (And I'll keep adding to it regularly!)

Hey, I Can Make That!
| Water Bottle Carrier

@ Pink Chalk StudioPacking a water bottle around all day when you are out and about might be cumbersome, but what if you could carry it around in something like this?
I found this classy and useful tutorial when looking for something to share in this section.
I am making three of these this weekend to give as gifts for some ladies I know who are training for marathons.

Ideas From Around the Web
| Here are some ideas from around the web to help you find ways to stay hydrated.

In the Kitchen
| Homemade Gatorade
While water is my drink of choice to stay hydrated, some people like to drink Gatorade or power drinks for a variety.
In reality though, unless you use coupons for those type of drink items, they can get pretty expensive and can eat a hole through the grocery budget.
Here is a recipe I found to create your own version of Gatorade at home. I personally have not made this yet, but the reviews I have read from numerous blogs have been nothing but positive.
Gatorade
Ingredients
- 1 package unsweetened Kool Aid (any flavor)
- 2 quarts water
- 1/2 cups sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup orange juice
DirectionsMix together, this equals the electrolyte replacement found in many popular drinks on the market.
Great for hot summer.
