Greetings!

I can hardly believe that in some parts of the country, school is
starting up again. I'm so not ready for summer vacation to be over! No
matter where or how your kids are educated, it's back-to-school time in
the retail world, and you can find really great sales on school
supplies. I just purchased 30 notebooks from Wal-Mart at 15 cents apiece,
as well as markers, glue sticks and glue, and a few other odds and ends.
We don't need them for going back to school, but we will need them
eventually, and I won't be able to find prices like these in January!
A reader recently shared her designer folder tip with me. Have you seen the expensive, decorative three-ring binders that are sold in department stores? Her children wanted some for school this year, but this purchase was not in her budget. What she did do, though, was purchase the inexpensive white ones, and then she took the kids to the scrapbook store and let them pick out their favorite funky design. The scrapbook paper cost only 69 cents, and the folders were on sale for $1.50. The kids were still able to have designer notebooks, and the cost fit in the family budget!

Hi Molly Members,
My August Money-Saving Digest is now available for download on your member pages. You'll love this issue which focuses on "storing summer's bounty." You can read all about it HERE. I'm having a bit of trouble with my August members freebie page, but I'm hoping it will be up by the time you read this.
I've also added some more goodies to the main Member's Resource Page. You'll find a list of groceries typically on sale each month as well as a listing of frugal travel-related sites. Don't forget to check this page frequently. Remember, it is your one stop shop for frugal resources. (And I'll keep adding to it regularly!)
If you're not a Molly Member, don't worry. You can join right here!
