Greetings!
© Photowitch | Dreamstime.com
Christmas is my favorite time of the year. I love all the glittery lights, the festive decorations, and the many parties we will attend with friends and family. But more than that, I love what this season is all about.
It's not about the latest and greatest Christmas present. It's not about who has the best decorated house or the tastiest Christmas dish. No. This season is about the birth of a baby, and not just any baby, but the Lord Jesus Christ who was born so that I could one day go to Heaven and be with the Father.
My kids and I make this time of year more special than any other, and we always make sure that we reflect the Lord in everything we learn and in everything we do. This newsletter will have lots of great links to help you do the same this year. Make this season all about Christ, which is what it was meant for to begin with!
All of us here at Econobusters want to wish you the very best Christmas ever. . . and remember. . . Jesus IS the reason for the season!
Merry CHRISTmas,
Molly

Blog Highlights Tips and Ideas From Econobusters

Featured Website

This website has become one of my very favorite for finding items that need a little revamping or updating.
Recently, Erika purchased a cardboard deer at a craft store for only $.50. With a little modge podge and some gold glitter, she turned her 50 cent find into an adorable Christmas decoration!
The story of her fallen Christmas tree will indeed give you a good laugh.
And I am sure that this re-purposed crayon post will be right up your alley if you have kids (or adults) who love to color!
Be sure and stop by and let Erika know that Molly sent you over to say hi and check out her website!

Freebie of the Week The Big Black Book~What The Christmas Tree Saw The Big Black
Book -
What the Christmas Tree Saw
from
Healthy Life Press
Just in time for Christmas--a story you will want to read and
enjoy, and if you have young children, a story you will want to read and enjoy
with them on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day . . . or both! The Christmas tree
enters the world of humans, happy and hopeful to discover wonderful things
about Christmas that he's heard whispered by other trees in the forest. What he
sees and learns serves as a year-round reminder of the importance of the Book
in which the Christmas story appears.

Recipe of the Week Candy Cane Cookies
One of my very favorite Christmas stories is The Candy Maker's Gift. We read it every year during the holidays.
While searching the Disney Family Fun website the other day, I found this cookie recipe for candy cane cookies. Click HERE to print your copy.
While you are at it, you can go to this website that has other poems, songs, and recipes that reflect the meaning of the candy cane as well.
