Portland Housing Center Welcomes
New Board Members
Portland Housing Center is proud to have an amazing Board of Directors with diverse talents and gifts. This month we are proud to introduce you to our newest Board Members. All of them are native Oregonians that share a passion for serving first time homebuyers in our community.
Aubré Dickson has joined the Board as Treasurer. Aubré has 10 years of real estate finance experience as an Acquisitions Officer for National Equity Fund. Aubré holds a B.S. in Finance and Managment from Portland State University and an M.B.A. from the University of Phoenix. Aubré also serves on the Board of Directors of Portland State University, Housing Development Center, and the Black Parent Initiative. Aubré is married and the proud father of 3 boys.
Debi Smith, the Board's new Secretary, has over 25 years of Human Resources expertise in corporate and non-profit organizations, including Nike, James River Corporation, and Self Enhancement, Inc. Debi holds a Communications degree from Oregon State University, and has additional Human Resources and Management
certifications from Portland State University. Previously, Debi has served on the boards of Minority Youth Action Program, NW/EEO, Penninsula Chidren's Center, and Habitat for Humanity.
Roberto Jiménez has been the Executive Director of Farmworker Housing Development Corporation since 2004. Roberto has 16 years of leadership experience in the non-profit sector, with a strong focus on organizational development. Roberto holds a B.A. from the University of Oregon and recently competed the NeighborWorks Achieving Excellence in Community Development program at Harvard's Kennedy School of Government.
Bryn Sopko is the Director of Human Resources at the University of Portland. Bryn has several years of Human Resources experience, including 14 years with Intel. She holds a master's degree in business administration from Marylhust University, and a bachelor's degree from Saint Mary's College in Notre Dame, Indiana.
