As someone who received services from the Portland Housing Center you know first-hand the benefit of having a resource and ally in the homebuying process. Having been a customer, and now a member of the Board of Directors I myself can testify to the great things accomplished by the staff at PHC!
It had always been our dream to become home owners and the staff at the Portland Housing Center were very helpful and encouraging throughout the whole process. After taking all of the classes and speaking to many people in the housing profession we felt very confident that the dream of home ownership could become a reality. After a few months of looking at numerous houses we were finally able to find a home that was just perfect for us. It has now been almost five years since we purchased our home and we are so glad that we went through the Portland Housing Center because they are dedicated to making sure that their clients are well educated and prepared for the home buying process.
For the past 17 years the Portland Housing Center has helped thousands of individuals and families navigate the challenges of buying a home. As a nonprofit organization they rely on the support of individuals, corporations and foundations to be able to provide their services. The registration fees that customers pay only covers a portion of the materials used in classes, it doesn't begin to cover the other costs associated with classes and providing unlimited one-on-one counseling.
