Imagine that you have time-travelled to the future and the year is 2038. What does the world look like? Where do you live? What gadgets do you use every day? How different is life from 2008?

Discover Wildlife on your Doorstep!
Visit the Tower Hamlets Cemetery Park and explore your local woodland. You can expect to see birds, bees, butterflies and wild flowers. Look out for hedgehogs, Bank voles, wood mice and foxes. The Tower Hamlets Cemetry Park Winter Programme includes 'Bow Beasties Wildlife Watch Club' for children aged 4 - 14 years.

Did You Know?
Back in the 1940s, George Orwell wrote '1984', a novel about a nightmare future where people were watched and controlled at all times by 'Big Brother'. Sound familiar?
The 'smart-clothing' worn by one of Spiderman's many enemies 'Venom' is not so far-fetched... scientists have already created clothing which monitors your heartbeat, temperature and breathing and many believe that clothing that responds and changes to your needs is only a few years away!
In the 1989 film, 'Back to the Future II' characters Marty McFly and Doc Brown travel in time to 2015 where cars fly, shoes can lace themselves up and everyone communicates by videophone - we'll have to wait a few more years to see which ones come true!
