Tesoro Winery announces one last evening of denial before IT all really begins - that exciting exhausting Tesoro ride know as "The Holidays"
No doubt about it. The holidays are upon us. Halloween is over, Thanksgiving is up next, then Christmas, ending with the big New Year's Eve gala. Tesoro Winery is suggesting area ladies leave the house, the kids and the significant others to come to Tesoro Winery for an evening of crazy fun with other girl friends to play Bunco. It's a temporary escape where the girls can chat it up with other women, have a glass of wine or two, eat, laugh a lot, eat some more, and maybe go home with prize or two.
Bunco is easy to learn and requires no skill. The beauty of it is that while the ladies play, they talk: Talk about their crazy schedules, their favorite movies, new restaurants and their latest home improvement miracle or mishap. They confess their weaknesses and revel in their strengths.
Tesoro Winery owner Kimberly Olson shares, " Our favorite thing to do for people is to create a fun environment at the winery where they can relax and enjoy each other's company and our wine." " Except for Buzz (her husband and co-owner), everyone working in our tasting room is female so it was a natural to first think of the ladies!" Hey! What about the guys? "Never fear, a Guy's Night Out is in the works" she explains.
A ticket price of $20 includes the first glass of any of one of Tesoro's wide variety of premium wines, plus a beautiful array of gourmet hors d'oeuvres prepared by chef Dorothy Blandi who knows the best ways to make the food enhance the wine and the wine enhance her food.

In 2003, Buzz and Kimberly Olson purchased a beautiful plot of land on Rancho California Road -- Temecula, California's main road through wine country. Its vineyards on rolling hills and spectacular 360° view of the local mountains and valleys reminded them of Tuscany, Italy and led them to dream of developing the 20 acres into an Italian country complex including a winery and Bed & Breakfast-Villa.

Tesoro's new wine tasting room is now open in Old Town's Retail Shopping District on Old Town Front Street and we're open late -- after the "other" winery's are done for the day.
