Hello fellow WICT Members,
The Blizzard of 2011 has come and gone, and across the Greater Chicago area we are shaking off the last bits of snow and preparing for spring. It's time to come out of our layers, put on a smile and enjoy all that spring can bring to the Chicago area... a chance to spread our wings, breathe new air, and enjoy sunnier days. During rain, snow, sleet and the occasional sunshine, our WICT Programming Team has been busy breathing new life into our events calendar for 2011-and I think you're going to like what you see. Get ready for an event calendar that we think you'll find more interactive, inspirational and exciting.
With that said, we decided that if you're going to make a change, make it BIG! As a result, "Breaking the Mold," our signature award event, typically held every October, is taking a backseat this year. In fact, it's sitting out 2011 altogether and moving into the first half of 2012. We hope you'll find that this change provides us an opportunity to make "Breaking the Mold" even better in 2012, and it allows us to focus on kicking off this year with our new signature event for 2011, the Visionary Leadership Breakfast on Wednesday, April 6.
The Visionary Leadership Breakfast is designed to provide you with an opportunity to interact with industry leaders and learn from them-and allow us to work toward achieving WICT's mission to develop women leaders who transform our industry. To kick off our Chapter's 2011 events and the Visionary Leadership Breakfast, I am proud to inform you that Bill Connors, President of Comcast's Central Division, will be the keynote speaker. With Bill headlining this event, I think we've got inspirational and exciting covered! Registration is now OPEN and seats are limited.
