Welcome to WICT 2011
What a great year we had in 2010, a year of firsts for us as an organization. We hosted our very first webinar which allowed us to touch many more members who were able to attend without leaving their offices, we invited local legislators to talk to our members at our first Legislative Panel event and we offered our first program about social media/social networking...a very hot topic. It was definitely the year of firsts for us.
One of our focus areas for 2011 is connecting better with our members. This is your organization and we encourage you to embrace all that WICT has to offer. As an organization, WICT is all about making connections, learning from others and building your professional network...and there is no better way to get involved than by staying informed. We have done a lot of work over the last few weeks to make connecting with us a lot easier. We are in the process of updating our WICT Greater Chicago website making it your one-stop-shop for all your local WICT info including upcoming events, photos from recent events, and much more. In addition, all of our members should take full advantage of WICT's professional networking site,WICT Connects, to stay in touch with one another and to network with colleagues from other chapters. But, the WICT website is not the only way to stay connected. WICT Greater Chicago now has a LinkedIn site. For our social networkers, you can connect to us via Twitter and Facebook. And, you can even find us on YouTube (check out the 2010 Breaking the Mold and Legislative Panel Videos)!
