Get Ready, Get Set ... Dance!
| | |
Classes start in one short week at Five Pointes Dance Center. Don't miss out on the fun that dance classes bring! Did you know, that in recent studies, taking Dance Lessons has shown that:
Health Benefits:
Repetitive movements in dance can improve muscle tone, correct poor posture, increase balance and coordination, and improve overall cardiovascular health.
Educational Benefits:
Students who regularly participate in dance lessons typically tend to perform better academically than their nonparticipating peers. Students who have a background in dance tend to achieve significantly higher SAT scores and do better in math and science competitions
Socialization Benefits:
Dance lessons can help children improve their social and communication skills, lean how to work as part of a team, develop a greater sense of trust and cooperation and make new friends. For shyer students, dance can encourage children to reach out to others their age and help to reduce anxiety about new people and places, and aid in alleviating fears related to performing in front of an audience.
These benefits are not just for children; adults benefit as well! Check out our adult classes: Monday Nights - Jazz classes with Liz, and Tuesday nights - Ballet classes with Cristina, and Tap classes with Elaine. Don't let kids have all the fun!
Come one, come all to experience the fun, joy, and many benefits that dance lessons can bring! Classes start Wednesday, September 5. For more information, please call the studio at 434-392-6754, or visit our website at http://www.fivepointes.net/.
