July 2012

Welcome to our newsletter for July 2012!

It's been a busy month for news about the condo market: when Councillor Adam Vaughan proposed that 10% of new condos should have 3 bedrooms, Deputy Mayor Doug Holyday created a controversy by saying that downtown is not the place he'd choose to raise a family. How's business? Queen & Spadina

The intersection of Queen and Spadina is closed to traffic for two weeks (hopefully opening up again on July 23rd) and the Grid checked in with local retailers to see how they're doing:

On Monday, July 9, construction crews began ripping up the corner of Queen and Spadina, replacing the tracks to accommodate a new fleet of streetcars due for service in 2014.
