Brady Campaign

Too Many Victims

On Sunday, January 8th, the Peace and Justice Committee of the Chicago Diocese joins with the Illinois Council Against Handgun Violence and the nationwide Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence in support of a national day of remembrance of gun violence victims.

At St Peter's we'll hold a Remembrance Roundtable during coffee hour (approx. 12:15PM in the Guild Room), reflecting on the lives of those we know that have been affected by gun violence and discussing strategies for achieving and enforcing sensible gun legislation in our city, state and nation. Later that day, all are welcome to join a Candlelight Vigil from 6 - 7:30PM at the Chicago Temple (1st United Methodist at 77 W. Washington). Please RSVP at [www.TooManyVictims.org] to reserve your candle for the evening vigil.

The 2012 Coffee Hour Schedule is now available

People have already begun signing up to host the coffee hour beginning in January 2012. If you would like to be a coffee hour host, sign up in the Guild Room. See James Palmer (312) 909-4432, if you have questions.
