St. Michael & All Angels
On Sunday, October 2, we will celebrate the Feast of St. Michael & All Angels, with special guest preacher Fr. Jim Dunkerley. The donor plaque for the VVD capital campaign will be up and at the 11:00 AM, we will be blessing the angel and new candlesticks that now adorn our worship space.

Episcopal Church Women Bake Sale
Saturday, October 8th 9:30AMHelp is needed for early set-up, pricing and selling items at the Sale. Your favorite food item for sale is also still needed- quiches, jams, candies and cup cakes are popular. We will try to "match" special orders for those having dinner parties that weekend or for a very nice gift. Let us know. The Chicago Marathon
Sunday, October 9th is the Chicago Marathon, which runs right through our neighborhood, so please plan your travel accordingly.
Several St. Peter's folks are running. As of the time of this writing, we know that Christer, Megan (who helped run the Gala) and Jeff (who heads up outreach) will all be running, along with the Rev.Dr. Jackie Cameron, priest in Chicago. Anyone else? Please let the office know. We'll be praying for the runners that day and cheering them along the way. Want to cheer for the runners and especially our St. Peter's runners? Email Rev. Children's Formation/Education Opportunities
The Children's Sunday School room was one of the hardest hit by the flood this summer. We're in the process of moving that classroom upstairs. The classroom will now share space with the nursery. We're trying this out for a time. The upstairs room is brighter and we're hopeful it will be a better space for our Sunday School.
We hope to be in that space by Sunday, October 16th for the first day of Sunday School at 10:00 AM. This year we're using SPARK curriculum. With SPARK, kids will learn stories of the Bible and begin to explore their faith. This fall we'll be studying Genesis and Exodus. There's also an on-line resource for parents, so you can study along with your kids.

Adult Formation/Education Opportunities
Wednesday Mornings at 11:00 AM join for a study of the Book fo Exodus.
Wednesday Evenings at 6:00 PM, join for the Wednesday Night Forum. This week: Holy Eucharist and a look at some of the historical texts that formed the Eucharistic prayers we now know.
Next week: A six-week series lead by lay leadership, called Feasting on Gratitude.

Choir: New Rehearsal Day & Time
The choir is experimenting with a new day and time for rehearsals. They are now rehearsing before the Eucharist on Sunday mornings, from 9:15-10:45 AM. Let us pray for our own needs and those of others, praying especially Zina, Carolyn, Beth, Bryant, Brian, Cheryl, Valerie, Terry, Victoria, Judy, Michael, Nancy, Lloyd, Lynn,Lela, Willie, the Browning family, Drev, the Sine family, Gerald, Ellen, Janet, Margot, Victory, Don, Nathan, Don & Joanna, Karen, Vernon, David, Susan, Vince & Patti, the Calderone and for all who we carry in our hearts.
We pray in thanksgiving for all who celebrate this week, especially for Don, Marian & James and others celebrating birthdays; for those celebrating anniversaries; for Bob who has a new job, and for Greg & Ricardo, Nasser & Christie, Alex & Allison, Tommy & Tiffany as they prepare for Holy Union and Marriage.
