Creatures at the Ocean

Take a musical trip to the Ocean each week as we make music on the beach, learn about the creatures at the ocean, sing sailor songs and make the ocean count. "Five little seashells lying on the shore: Swish! Went the waves and then there were four." In class, we're taking pretend adventures to the mountains, the beach, and going on bike rides, and picnics. Meanwhile, your toddler gets lots of practice taking turns and interacting socially. Plus, when you incorporate these class activities into your playtime at home, you're sharing in the learning happening in class.

All the ways you play-at home, in the school yard, during your family time together-is this month's theme. In class we'll play "Follow the Leader" and other playground games to help your toddler develop listening and singing skills while strengthening movement and hand-eye coordination. In your Home Kit, find more activities, songs, and games you can do together to play and learn at home, too.

Kathy's Music designed these musical drop-off camps using award winning Kindermusik curriculum, ABC Music & Me, created by Kindermusik.
Each day we have a 30 minute music lesson, craft project, snack, story time, and center time. Each registration includes a set of Home Materials - book, CD, instrument, and more.

A piano and the well-known composer, J.S. Bach, help your child practice skills needed for success in school - including social skills and inhibitory control. What else? The same fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination your preschooler needs to hold a pencil-are developed through the special keyboard-playing activities we'll be playing in class. This class is ideal preparation for Kindermusik for the Young Child class & the glockenspiel and in piano lessons, too!

Your child's memory and sequence skills will strengthen with stop-and-go activities-all set to the music of Latin America. Tucked into stories and pretend play activities, stop-and-go games help your preschooler control body motions and follow directions on the go. Share the stories and activities in your Home Kit and you'll strengthen self-discipline skills at home, too.

SPECIAL NOTE: We recommend the 4-6 year old camps for any children who are taking Kindermusik for the Young Child or who would like to start our Young Child (Music Fundamentals) program this fall. It's a great introduction to musical concepts, rhythm, and ensemble skills.

Blast Off! Camp

It's the perfect start!! Blast-Off! gives beginning students a successful introduction to the piano and the small group setting makes it extra fun! Learn keyboard geography and rhythm basics, enjoy fun sheets and games, and share in the joy of music together! Special performances on the last day of each session.
