The Chatsworth Neighborhood Council meets 7 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 7, at Lawrence Middle School, 10100 Variel Ave. There will be a presentation from the developers of Hidden Creeks Estates who want to build a 188-home community in Browns Canyon. Developers will be seeking annexation of the property into Los Angeles to secure electricity, water and sewage service. There will also be discussion of plans for an October special election to fill one vacant board seat. The meeting is always open to the public. To see the agenda, click here.
Chatsworth Hills Academy (CHA) has presented plans for a new campus on a portion of the secluded 12-acre property they now occupy at the western end of Rinaldi

But after a lengthy discussion recently, including strong opposition from the family that owns part of the site, the Chatsworth Neighborhood Council Land Use Committee decided it needed more information before it could recommend approval for the project.
The school wants to move their entire operation to the 4.4-acre portion of the site they bought about 15 years ago.
