Happy Valentine's Day!
February 2008

Greetings!

Kathy Business PhotoValentine's Day is coming soon and remember my motto, "There's always room for ice cream and chocolate!".

  • It is all about balance, so if your sweetie gives you a box of chocolate, place it in a cupboard or drawer, so you are not triggered by the sight of it when you truly do not want chocolate.
  • When you eat your chocolate, make sure you have had plenty of water and nutrient rich foods. This decreases the odds that you will want more than one chocolate.
  • When you indulge in that chocolate, savor the moment. Notice the smell, mouth feel, taste and let it melt in your mouth. Don't just throw it in your mouth and eat away while working on a project or watching television.
Other ideas to keep that balance could include asking your honey to take you dancing, go for a romantic stroll or do some kind of movement oriented activity, such as a game of tennis or racquetball, a game of twister or a dance class. Try spicing things up a little bit with a little variety in your daily routine. And if you don't have a sweetie, try going to some dance lessons, the gym or take a nice stroll in the park. Get yourself out of the house, you are more likely to meet someone, relieve some stress and remove yourself from sitting at home alone with the tempting chocolates.

Remember, chocolate is a treat, not a distraction.
