EMI Music Latin América y Capitol Latin unen esfuerzos para apoyar a Chile
Las casas discográficas coordinaron la grabación de una nueva versión
del tema "Que cante la vida" para ayudar a las víctimas del terremoto de Chile
Entre el grupo de artistas internacionales que interpretarán la canción están
Juan Luis Guerra, Belinda, Luis Fonsi, Alejandra Guzmán, Franco de Vita y Fanny Lu, entre otros
"Que Cante La Vida" podrá ser comprado en México y Estados Unidos a partir del 6 abril en iTunes
Miami, FL, 31 de marzo del 2010.- (Escrito por F & F Media Corp.) EMI Music, contando con la colaboración de Capitol Latin y otros sellos discográficos, se ha involucrado en la coordinación de un ambicioso proyecto de solidaridad. Se trata de la grabación del tema "Que cante la vida", con el cual se pretende recaudar fondos para ayudar a las miles de víctimas del reciente terremoto que sacudió a Chile.
Para lograrlo se ha unido al cantante y compositor chileno Alberto Plaza, y juntos, han reunido a un nutrido grupo de estrellas de renombre internacional. La convocatoria fue tan bien recibida que logro agrupar 27 artistas (listados en orden alfabético más abajo).
Muchos de estos artistas grabaron sus colaboraciones desde Madrid, Río De Janeiro, México, Los Ángeles, República Dominicana y Miami.
"Desde que me enteré de esta terrible noticia, mi corazón no ha dejado de estar todo el tiempo con cada chileno. A la distancia, trabajo intensamente en un proyecto musical maravilloso que regalará una luz de esperanza a tantos hogares que lo han perdido todo", señaló Plaza.
Para esta labor, se escogió el emblemático tema "Que cante la vida", con el que el citado cantautor inició su carrera representando a su país en el Festival de Viña del Mar, en 1985, el cual, en el correr de los años, se convirtió en un verdadero himno de fe para su país.
Otro destacado chileno, el cantautor y productor Jaime Ciero, estuvo a cargo de su producción. Se sumó también a este equipo de voluntarios de elite, su compatriota, el ingeniero de sonido chileno Mauricio Guerrero, uno de los más destacados en la industria, tras haber trabajado con artistas como Celine Dion y Phil Collins.
Al respecto, Billy Mann, Presidente de New Music, Internacional y Global Artist Management, dio sus declaraciones: "Estaría de más decir qué orgulloso me siento de los artistas de EMI y sus ejecutivos mientras continúan apoyando nuestra iniciativa de "Contesta la Llamada" para dar soporte a la Cruz Roja. Poniendo todas estas voces juntas en lo que los chilenos organizan sus vidas para reconstruir todo de nuevo, este es un gesto ejemplar de nuestra comunidad artística con el que les decimos a esos que sufren que no están solos".
Marcelo Castello Branco, Presidente de New Music Brasil y Suramérica, corroboró que "Chile significa muchísimo para mí profesional y personalmente. EMI Music ha tenido un maravilloso e histórico vínculo con el país y su gente. Hemos estado allí por largo tiempo y sentimos que es momento de devolverles algo e intentar ayudarlos a superar esta tragedia. La música es nuestra bandera y estamos honrados de compartirla".
EMI MUSIC valora todo el apoyo que el público chileno le ha dado durante años a sus artistas, muchos de los cuales han debutado o han consolidado sus carreras a través del Festival de Viña del Mar.
Creemos que es hora de unirnos como industria de la música y hacernos presentes con este tema, cuyos fondos por la venta digital y física, serán entregados a la Cruz Roja de Chile. Pero además, queremos regalarles a los chilenos una canción que los anime a levantarse nuevamente.

Miami, FL, March 31, 2010.- (F & F Media Corp.) EMI Music joins forces with various record labels, in leading an ambitious musical venture to raise funds to benefit the thousands of victims of the devastating earthquake that hit Chile only a few short days ago. To benefit this cause Chilean singer-songwriter Alberto Plaza was joined by a select group of international superstars, with strong bonds of friendship to the South American nation (names listed below in alphabetical order).
"Since learning the terrible news, my heart has remained with each and every Chilean. Even across the distance, I am working intensely on a wonderful project that will shine as a beacon of hope in so many homes that have lost everything", Alberto Plaza explained.
For this important labor of love, the chosen song was the ever emblematic piece "Que cante la vida" initially performed by Plaza at the beginning of his career, while representing his country at the renowned Viña del Mar Music Festival in 1985. The song has, throughout the years, become an authentic hymn of hope for his country and as such has been chosen by the Chilean public as the most beloved song in the musical history of the South American nation.
"It is an understatement to say how immensely proud I am of EMI's artists and executives as they continue to rise and support our "Answer The Call" initiative for the Red Cross. While putting a song together pales in comparison to the Chileans putting lives and buildings back together, it is a heartfelt gesture from our EMI community to let those who suffer know they are not alone.", -stated Billy Mann, President of New Music, International and Global Artist Management.
Many of the artists collaborating on the project recorded their parts all over the world, in Madrid, Río de Janeiro, México, Los Angeles, the Dominican Republic and Miami. Alberto Plaza is carefully watching over every detail, along with renowned Chilean singer-songwriter and producer, Jaime Ciero, who produced the song and received the support of many Chilean artists and musicians that are donating their time and efforts to record background vocals and instrumentation in Buenos Aires, Santiago and Los Angeles.
The renowned Chilean sound engineer Mauricio Guerrero also joined forces with the team of elite volunteers, Guerrero has worked with international artists like Celine Dion and Phil Collins, just to name a few.
