FRANCO GIORDANI BIOGRAPHY:
Franco Giordani is one of the most sought after Studio Audio Engineers in the Latin Music Market since the 1990's.
Having begun his career as a piano, keyboard, bass player and arranger, he soon discovered that his true passions were recording and producing music, so after 7 years of music studies in the National University of Mexico School of Music, he switched to Communications Engineering in the Autonomous University of Mexico, and complemented his knowledge with private lessons with Ulises Goñi, respected music teacher from the Berklee College of Music. From there he was soon working for the Major Studios in Mexico City and every kind of music genre, from working with the Philharmonic Orchestra del Estado De Mexico, to rock groups and pop singers, with the ocassional incursion in classical and jazz ventures.
He was employed first at Golden Studios, (MAG Records), then at K'ay'nah Studios and then PolyGram, where he was part of the production team for many best selling albums in the 1980's and 90's.
Pretty soon his horizons needed to be expanded, so he accepted and invitation from Homero Patrón, renowned producer for artists like Juan Gabriel, Rocío Durcal, José José, Pedro Fernández and the like, to work with him in Los Angeles, California.
3 years after that another offer from Time Zone Records was the last element for his moving to LA, where he became a free lance engineer soon after. Having dealt with artists of the caliber of Robert Plant (ex-Led Zeppelin), Juan Gabriel, Pepe Aguilar, and many many more, he had no trouble getting into the big action in Los Angeles. Since 1996, his career has seen 2 Grammy Awards for his work with Joan Sebastian, 12 Grammy and Latin Grammy nominations for best album with several other artists and an impressive string of hits and best sellers in his resume. He also won an Emmy in 2001 for the Rose Parade Live Special Achievement. Every Major Label and many independents look for him when they need the best in sound engineering and also musical consulting, perfect formula for a commercially succesful recording.
