Candidate Training Program

The Colorado Local Progressive Candidate Training Program is sponsored by the Center for Progressive Leadership, the White House Project and the Colorado Education Association.
 
The Colorado Local Progressive Candidate Training Program is designed to help individuals develop the skills and resources they need to advance progressive change through local elected office.
 
Who Should Apply?
The program is designed to prepare progressive individuals who are planning or considering running for an elected office in the near or distant future.  This training program also provides important insights and direction for individuals who are or will be serving as a campaign manager.
 
*Note: Individuals registering for this program may not have already filed, developed an exploratory committee, fundraised or spent money on their campaign.
 
Program Details
Weekend workshops will provide the nuts and bolts of putting together a successful campaign for a local elected position, as well as the fundamentals for implementing progressive policies through elected office.
 
Weekend workshop topics may include:
Fundraising ~ Message Development & Delivery
Campaign and Strategic Planning ~ Policy Leadership
 

Dates, Places and Fee
Trainings will be held over the course of three weekends.   Participants are expected to coordinate their schedules to ensure their participation in all of the workshops.  The tentative 2009 workshops dates are:

August 1st  & 2nd in Colorado Springs
August 15th & 16th in Denver
August 22nd in Colorado Springs
