The 2008 Candidate Survey Voter Guide Has Arrived!

Democracy is not a spectator sport. If we want good government, it's up to all of us to learn and participate.

With the help of community collaborators, organizations, and hundreds of supporters and readers like you, Citizens Project has published and distributed our Candidate Survey Voter Guides in the Pikes Peak region for fifteen years.

Again this year, we have partnered with the Pikes Peak Equality Coalition (PPEC) to compile the questions in the Candidate Survey Voter Guide, which covers a broad range of issues affecting our community. This guide features information voters can't get anywhere else, and - thanks to some incredible volunteers - is published in both English and Spanish to ensure that its information reaches as many people as possible.

At Citizens Project, we believe that voters deserve to know where candidates for public office stand on critical questions facing our community, our state, and our world. We hope you'll use this guide to form your decisions at the ballot box.

Ballot Update: Four Labor Proposals Withdrawn From Ballot

A recent negotiation between business leaders and labor officials resulted in the withdrawal of four November ballot measures. The four ballot measures were proposed by worker advocates in an attempt to thwart existing ballot proposals which could potentially harm the rights of workers. The withdrawn measures are Amendments 53, 55, 56 and 57. Due to the timing of the withdrawal, the measures will still appear on the ballot, but the votes will not be counted.
