Michael Spaulding, CPA

On April 20th the focus was on tax and accounting.  Mike will cover considerations from choosing a business entity, utilizing contractors vs. employees, tax credits and deductions, filing and extensions and more.

Tax Season Intern

Jessica Dumond, of Lewiston, has been gaining on the job experience this tax season.

Jessica is currently enrolled in the Accounting program at USM and plans to graduate with her Bachelor's degree in May.  "I think that being here during tax season gives me a chance to get a better glimpse of a broader spectrum of what goes on not just during this season but throughout the year.  I've already learned a lot more about what goes into tax preparation at all levels from individuals to corporations and I'm excited for what's to come," said Jessica.

She will be staying on over the summer, working with Louise and Joyce in our reception area and assisiting staff members with special projects.

For more information on internship opportunities at Austin Associates, please contact Hillary Eaton, Director of Marketing and Business Development at hillary@austinpa.com or call 783-9111.
