DOAS Announces a Change to the Statewide Contract for Guns, Pistols, Rifles and Shotguns

The Department of Administrative Services continues to seek ways to provide State of Georgia entities solutions for streamlining business services and avoiding costs.  After further review, the Statewide Contract (SWC) for Guns, Pistols, Rifles and Shotguns will become a convenience contract, effective immediately.  All other terms, conditions, and benefits of this contract will remain the same.

Key Benefits of the SWC include:

• Average discounts of 20 - 25 percent off supplier list prices
• Suppliers offer major brands to cover the state entities' various primary duty weapons
• Trade-in program offered, which provides authorized users store credit for the trade-in of used firearms and the ability to apply the store credit toward the purchase of new firearms and other accessories

The contract is available for use through Team Georgia Marketplace under Guns, Pistols, Rifles and Shotguns.  Please visit Team Georgia Marketplace to view terms, conditions and specific information on how to use the contract.

Please be advised that should State Purchasing conduct a procurement for these products in the future, the resulting contract could be reclassified as a Mandatory Statewide Contract.
