MESSAGE FROM ASSISTANT COMMISSIONER |
|
Greetings Purchasing Partners,
As a state, we continue to make significant progress in becoming one of the nation's top purchasing organizations. It is an exciting time at DOAS and this edition of Georgia Purchaser proudly reflects our efforts to serve you better. First off, we are proud to announce that Team Georgia Marketplace is now operational for three pilot agencies and that a future rollout plan is being finalized. Numerous state agencies, as well as our supplier community, are being trained and educated on how to maximize their efficiency and usage of the state's new procurement system. Also featured in this issue is a spotlight on our new DOAS Marketing and Communications Director, Rodney Jenkins. He is leading up new marketing initiatives designed to unify our messaging and service to you.
As always, we've included an update on the Website Redesign Project, policy changes, and new statewide contracts. We've continued our tips section, this time on reducing protests and also obtaining higher delegated purchasing authority. We hope you enjoy this final edition of the Purchaser as we know it and look forward to future enhancements. Please continue to offer suggestions or comments so that we may better serve you. Best regards,
Tim Gibney, CPM, CPPO Assistant Commissioner - Procurement Department of Administrative Services purchasing@doas.ga.gov |
