ELP Upcoming Events

Career Day

The ELP realizes that the workplace over the past year has been more stressful than usual for many. Some of you have been laid off, and others have been working extra to fill the voids left by lay offs. Some of you may be wondering, what is next, can I find fulfillment? Do you need a career coach, do you need to find new energy, and do you need to take stock of your strengths and passions, or find the ever elusive work/life balance?

We'd like to help. On February 25 from 8:15AM to 11:00AM, we will be hosting a career day. Join us for a panel discussion by Emerging Leaders Program alums whose work focuses on some of the topics above, followed break-out sessions to hone in on what you need.

Save the date, and stay tuned for more information. (Even if you are in good shape right now, it never hurts to be prepared).

ELP forums

To the incoming cohort, prior to each forum, Andrea Wight will send you an email with detailed information, but please also see our on-line calendar of forums.

To the alumni, if you missed a session during your time as a fellow, we invite you to email us to ask to attend a session. If there is room, you are welcome to join us.

Brief History of ELP

The Emerging Leaders Program is an executive training program for professionals in the Greater Boston area. In the program fellows enhance their leadership skills and learn how to work effectively with other leaders toward specific goals. Each fall, a group of "fellows" is chosen for a 10-month program involving a weeklong seminar, followed by monthly meetings and team projects. At its conclusion, fellows have honed their individual leadership skills in several areas, including communication, conflict resolution, the political process, entrepreneurship, media relations, networking, and teamwork.
