2007 Cohort Team Project Presentations |
|
On Thursday, November 8 the 2007 cohort will be presenting their findings on "Why Young Professionals Stay in Boston". This mini-conference will be held at the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston starting at 8:30AM and wrapping up around 1:00PM with lunch. Mayor Menino will be there as well as panelists Leroy Walker, Laware Leadership Forum; J.D. Chesloff, Boston Business Roundtable; Sam Tyler, BMRB; and Richard Walker, III, Federal Reserve Bank of Boston.

Wicked Big Pahty - Benefit for Big Sister

Carver '06 has been honored as Dorchester's representative for the prestigious Action for Boston Community Development Community Award. The award recognizes individuals from all over Boston for their influence on their community and their impact to the civic health of Greater Boston through volunteer work and other forms of philanthropy. Pope's Hill Neighborhood Association President Philip J. Carver was named the Dorchester Neighborhood Service Center (DNSC) 2007 recipient for the prestigious Action for Boston Community Development, Inc. Community Award.
Maia Germain has accepted a position at State Street Global Advisors within their Interactive group, focusing on communications related to employees and candidates. Maia will be transitioning out of her former position as State Street's Vice President of College Relations and Diversity Staffing. Brief History of ELP |
|
The Emerging Leaders Program is an executive training program for professionals in the Greater Boston area. In the program they will enhance their leadership skills and learn how to work effectively with other leaders toward specific goals. Each fall, a group of "fellows" is chosen for a 10-month program involving a weeklong seminar, followed by monthly meetings and team projects. At its conclusion, fellows have honed their individual leadership skills in several areas, including networking, communication, conflict resolution, the political process, entrepreneurship, media relations, and teamwork.
