LOCAL ARTIST OF THE MONTH: SERGIO CORREA
This month, True Blue is excited to highlight the work of local artist, Sergio Correa.
Correa studied architecture and art publicity in his hometown of Medellin, Columbia. In the 1970s, Correa enjoyed great success in France, giving him the opportunity to exhibit his work in several Paris galleries. Today, his paintings can be found all over the United States, as well as in South America.
Sergio's art covers a multitude of styles, from the beautiful barn landscapes of North Carolina to the futuristic effects displayed in illustrations and paintings such as Andromeda and Parallel Universe.
Correa's recent body of work, affectionately entitled "Space Babies,"
in which mystical
creatures from other worlds mingle with ours, is evidence of
the diversity of this multi-talented artist.
Correa currently resides in Leicester, NC.
Many of his one of a kind pen and ink works will be on display at True Blue throughout the month.

June 12 thru Aug 14, 10am-4pm Artists and crafters will showcase their work as part of the N.C. Department of Cultural Resources program to feature N.C.'s diverse array of artists and crafters at Historic Sites and museums. Events are free. The Thomas Wolfe Memorial is located at 52 N.
