Penumbra Theatre Company's Summer Institute:
TRAINING THE NEXT GENERATION OF ACTIVIST ARTISTS
Summer Institute is a four week intensive theatre training program for young
artists to explore activist art at the nation's preeminent African American
theatre company, Penumbra Theatre. Students are charged with creating
socially responsible art that is authentic, empowering and practically
