Line 9: Incident Narrative - Two people died in a collision between a car and a prison transport vehicle on a rain-slicked road Tuesday night. The crash occurred around 9:30 p.m. on St. Rt. 207 at U.S. 23 north of Chillicothe. Rain on Tuesday night left the road surface wet and may have contributed to the collision.
Reports indicate that a driver in the opposite lane appeared to have hydroplaned on the road, crossed the median and struck the transport vehicle used by the state's Chillicothe Correctional Facility.

Both vehicles caught fire and Inmate Hunter was trapped in the
van. Where he was pronounced dead at the scene. The inmate was reported to have suffered from major burns and smoke as well as from the trauma of the crash.
