Line 9: Incident Narrative -  Charlotte County Jail is under lockdown and closed due to positive testing of an unknown biohazardous material, and the jail is not accepting prisoners at time of this report.

At approximately 14:39 p.m., a clerk in the jail mailroom opened an envelope with a white powder substance. Charlotte County EMS Hazmat was called and responded to the jail.

More testing is currently underway at time of report. Employees who came close to the powder are under going decontamination per HAZMAT on scene Commander.

Full facility lockdown as well as activation of emergency protocols are being activated at this time.

The US C-SOG TOC is the first Privately Operated TOC for Corrections Special Operations in the world.  Staffed 24 / 7  with a Duty Officer(s) to monitor CERT events around the world.  The C-SOG TOC has been made available exclusively to CERTOps.  The TOC will provide specialized real time incident information to only certified Corrections Agencies and CERTOps registered operators.
