Line 9: Incident Narrative - A inmate is at large after an escape from Laurel Regional Hospital this morning.
At time of this report it appears the inmate was at the hospital and managed to get hold of a firearm. Shots were fired, perhaps in attempt to get out of shackles.
Injures are not known at this time The inmate remains at large. description of inmate will be made available within the hour. TOC has received ID and is awaiting authorization for WWCN agency release at this time
Inmate was being monitored by DOC Staff and Hospital security staff. The inmate may have attempted to take a security guard hostage during the escape attempt.
