Line 9: Incident Narrative - A man armed with a shotgun was hospitalized after exchanging gunfire with a deputy in the lobby of the Grant County Detention Center this afternoon.
The incident happened at about 16:30 hrs. Police say the man walked into the lobby and began making demands. After being told to drop his weapon, he exchanged fire with a deputy.
The deputy was not injured in the exchange. There is no word on the suspect's identity or his condition.
