The University of Washington Press was founded in 1915 and publishes approximately 60 new titles a year, with 1,400 books currently in print. From its beginning, the Press has reflected the University's major academic strengths. Building on those strengths, while developing partnerships with other nonprofit cultural institutions, the University of Washington Press has achieved recognition as the leading publisher of scholarly books and distinguished works of regional nonfiction in the Pacific Northwest.

Columbia Sales Consortium to represent University of Washington Press 

 

Seattle, WA - Beginning July 1, 2012, Columbia Sales Consortium will handle sales representation for the University of Washington Press to booksellers in the United States, with the exception of Washington State. Neither international sales representation nor fulfillment services (currently provided by Hopkins Fulfillment Services) will change.

 

Columbia Sales Consortium is part of Columbia University Press and represents other university presses around the country.

 

"We are very excited to work with the Columbia Sales Consortium, which has a wonderful reputation and tremendous experience in our community of university presses," said Rachael Levay, sales and publicity manager for the University of Washington Press. "We look forward to a productive and exciting relationship with our new colleagues."
