Cinco de Mayo 2011 logoVisit our table at this year's Cinco de Mayo Fiesta to learn what Smart Trips is all about!

We'll be getting the word out about
transportation options, registering attendees for the Commuter Challenge and Bike Walk Week, handing out flashing safety lights and showing folks how to put their bike on the bus.

As a bonus, Metro Transit is providing a free transit pass, good both days of the festival!

Already going? We need your help

We're not asking for much--- as little as an hour-and-a-half of your time to help staff our table (though we'd appreciate more).

For your time and assistance, we'll give you a free t-shirt and an excuse to get to the festivities!

Find a shift: Check our schedule to see if any of the shifts work for you.

RSVP: Contact Damian Goebel at damian@smart-trips.org or 651-224-8555 x 24 to schedule a shift or with any questions.

To learn more about the Cinco de Mayo Fiesta and to plan your shift around events you want to see, visit the official festival site here.

Get off your seat, it's Bike Walk Week

2011 Bike Walk WeekIt's time to dust off the bike that's been hanging in your garage all winter and get it road ready. Bike Walk Week is right around the corner.

This year, we kick things off on Saturday, June 4 at the Heart Walk at Target Field and wrap everything up Sunday, June 12 with the Minneapolis Open Streets Celebration and Bike to the Ballgame for both the Twins and Saints!

There are plenty of activities and events in between to take part in, including the annual Bike Walk to Work day on Thursday, June 9 in St. Paul's Rice Park.

Come along for the ride

Get involved. Register, find events and get resources to prepare for  the week at bikewalkweek.org.

Take it further. sign up for the Commuter Challenge and your chance to win prizes.

You can help. We need volunteers for our Bike Walk to Work Day celebration in downtown St. Paul. Contact Damian Goebel at 651-224-8555 x 24 or damian@smart-trips.org for more details.
