When moving into a new 12,000 square foot modern office space in downtown Boston, the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center  asked ZeroEnergy Design to act as its green architect and provide project visioning & sustainability consulting. The 40+ staff members needed a healthy work environment that prioritized energy efficiency and used regional materials.

Now completed, the bright new, healthy, green office space provides an optimal environment for the staff to build the clean energy industry in Massachusetts.

WaterSense Labeled New Homes

WaterSense LabelWaterSense labeled homes are independently inspected and certified to use 20 percent less water than typical new homes.

Residential water use accounts for more than half of publicly supplied water in the United States. The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) established WaterSense to protect the future of the nation's water resources and to promote water-efficient products and services with a simple, easy-to-identify label.

Single-family homes that are built to meet EPA's specification can earn the WaterSense label. EPA criteria include WaterSense labeled plumbing fixtures, efficient hot water delivery, systems, smart landscape design, and other features. WaterSense labeled new homes are independently inspected and certified to meet these criteria, giving homeowners and buyers confidence that the home will really save water.

Make the Commitment
AIA 2030 Commitment

The profession is confronting the fact that buildings are the largest single contributor to production of greenhouse gases and almost half of the total annual production.

As architects, we understand the need to exercise leadership in our role in creating the built environment. Consequently, we believe we must alter our profession's actions and encourage our clients and the entire design and construction industry to join with us to change the course of the planet's future.

ZeroEnergy Design has made the AIA 2030 Commitment. Please consider your personal or professional commitment.
