Salvation Army's Commissioner
Robert Watson to Speak

The Commissioner Robert WatsonLamb Foundation will celebrate its 20th Anniversary on Sept. 29, 2007 with a banquet and program featuring guest speaker Robert Watson, National Commissioner of the Salvation Army.

"The Salvation Army has a simple business model we should be following," says Donna Mengel, Lamb Foundation Founder. "We strive to stay focused on our mission, act with integrity and not grow weary in well-doing."

Commissioner Watson and Ben Brown co-authored the book, "The Most Effective Organization in the U.S.-Leadership Secrets of The Salvation Army." Lamb is inviting residents and their families, county professionals that work with Lamb, vendors, employees, public officials, and friends from the Family Worship Center, where many Lamb residents worship each week. Former North Wales News Agency Renovation Complete

Interior at the New Lamb HomeAfter two long years, 414 East Walnut Street in North Wales will be home to 21 new residents of Lamb Foundation. Final renovations are complete and residents will be moving into 7 apartments. Four of the apartments were built from open space formerly used as a cigar factory in the 1870s. After many years as a news agency, the building was transformed by Lamb Foundation into apartments to continue its mission of providing safe, attractive, and affordable homes for senior citizens and mentally and physically disabled adults.

Record-breaking eBay sale, week

1910 Philadelphia Athletics Club Championship PennantOver one exciting week bidding rose from $0.99 to $668.99 for a 1910 felt championship pennant commemorating the Philadelphia Athletics Club (predecessor of today's Philadelphia Phillies.) The sale set a record for a single sale item and helped produce a record sales week for Sweet-E-Repeats, Lamb's eBay resale store.

Lamb Founder Donna Mengel found the pennant and donated it to be sold on Lamb's eBay store, starting the bidding at 99 cents. Residents and staff couldn't believe their eyes when bids began to jump by hundreds of dollars over the 7-day sale period, and ended with a final price of $668.99.

What's the next collectible? You can help the Lamb Foundation by shopping Sweet-E-Repeats,  to see what collectibles or other treasures you might love to have! All items, regardless of value, start bidding at 99 cents and are offered for 7 days of bidding. All proceeds of sales in Sweet-E-Repeats eBay store benefit the charitable housing mission of the Lamb Foundation.
