As discussed in the last newsletter, the first batch of people who got certified under this program when it was first launched are beginning to expire this year. Many of them have already applied for renewal using the forms and instructions that can be downloaded from the web site. Last week we mailed letters to everyone that is expiring in 2009 to remind them that they need to renew and directing them to the web site for more information. Apprenticeship Coordinators can also contact us for a list of their members that are expiring so they can be contacted on a local level. This is helpful since many times the addresses we have on file are three years old and no longer valid.

 

Certification under this program expires every three years. In order to renew, a person must obtain credits in continuing education and industry involvement and submit their renewal application within one year of expiration. Many of the credits needed can be obtained by continually working in the post-tensioning industry, however at least two hours of credit must be earned by attending a continuing education class or seminar in post-tensioning.
