United Way of Greater Richmond & Petersburg is pleased to announce that Sherrie Brach, CEO of our United Way since 2000, has been selected for a national leadership position with United Way Worldwide.
Sherrie will become Executive Vice President, Investor Relations at United Way Worldwide, effective October 1, 2011. In her new role, she will share her exceptional leadership abilities, passion and expertise with United Way offices around the country and worldwide.
We are sharing this news with you in advance of the community-wide announcement because of the significant role you play in our United Way family.
With Sherrie at the helm, United Way of Greater Richmond & Petersburg has transitioned from a traditional fundraising organization to one that focuses on achieving community impact. Your support of United Way does more for the community than ever before. Sherrie's leadership and commitment to our community has greatly contributed to that success. Your personal commitment to strengthening our community makes it all possible.
