Announcing United Way's New
Loyal Contributor Program
| |
Patty Wilkerson
30+ year United Way Loyal Contributor
Retired, Dominion Resources |
Dear United Way Friends,
In 1978, as a new VEPCO employee (Dominion today), I made my first pledge to United Way. And I'm proud to say, 30 years later-and now in my retirement-I still give to United Way.
By uniting with others, I am helping people here where I live and helping to build a stronger community. It is important to me to keep doing that.
There are thousands of us - people in our community who believe in giving back and believe in United Way - and show it year after year through our giving ...10 years, 20 years, even 50 years! We are loyal contributors!
It's that on-going, loyal support that United Way is celebrating through the new Loyal Contributors program. We are working to identify and give special thanks to everyone who has given to United Way for 10 years or longer...any United way (since you may have moved around) and any giving level. United Way's goal is long-term, sustainable change in our community - YOU are making that possible.
Please let us know that you, too, are a Loyal Contributor. I started giving in 1978...how about you? Click here for a simple sign up form. With thanks to all of you, our Loyal Contributors (and those of you who are on your way!),

The company and its employees have put their energy and resources to good use and are improving lives."
Gallagher also stated: "Bank of America has demonstrated true leadership in improving financial stability. Whether by stepping up as the first financial institution to nationally support United Way's financial stability work, providing millions in grants to assist lower-income working families, or volunteering more than one million hours last year, the bank and its employees' commitment to individuals, families and communities is clear." | |

"My parents taught me, those with abundance have a responsibility to give back to the community. The United Way makes it easy to give. It's convenient. I don't have to worry how funds are managed. And, they support a variety of agencies in the community." |
