We are overwhelmed by your generosity and also by the creative ways so many are giving and living united in our community. With a simple posting of "25 Random Things about Myself" on Facebook, Steve Peterson unwittingly divulged something about himself that would spark somewhat of a mini nationwide social movement.
 
"I revealed that I was afraid to shave off my moustache which I'd had for almost 30 years. I was afraid that if I shaved it off, I'd find I had no upper lip," Steve said. It wasn't long after that a friend posted that he'd pay to see it happen- then other friends joined in. Read more and see Steve's video
Yard Sale Saturday
 
UPS Yard Sale
Very early on a recent Saturday morning, Rudy Morgan was up, dressed in his uniform and behind the wheel of a UPS truck headed to Westover Hills Elementary School. For Rudy this wasn't a typical delivery, but a special delivery of items donated by his fellow associates for the big UPS yard sale held on the school's playground. Read more

"We both agreed that we didn't want to accept tips so from the moment we opened we decided to give that money to people who need it more than we do," said Nick DeLuca. Read more

United Way's Youngest Donor
 
Joe PerkinsWhen Boo and Drew Perkins planned their son Joseph's first birthday party, they launched a tradition of caring for others that has continued on for three years.
 
"We love football and Joseph's birthday is around the time of the Super Bowl so it seemed only fitting that 'Super Joe Sunday' would be the theme," said Boo, Joseph's mom. Inspired by the NFL/United Way commercials seen during the games, the family asked guests to contribute to United Way instead of bringing gifts for Joseph. Read more
