Ana Casas M.D. has obtained the highest
certification in Age Management Medicine in the world
and is Board Certified in Anti-Aging and Regenerative
Medicine by the American Academy of Anti-Aging and
Regenerative Medicine.
The American Board of Anti-Aging & Regenerative
Medicine Board Certification (ABAARM)
consists of Part I (Written Examination) and Part II
(Oral Examination).
In order to be eligible for
Board Certification, a physician must:
* be a Member of the American Academy of Anti-
Aging
and Regenerative Medicine (A4M)-Dr. Casas has
been a member in good standing for five years,
*Attend two or more consecutive A4M-
approved/sponsored conferences- Dr. Casas has
attended these conferences for the past five years
*have an
an M.D., from an accredited medical school
*have
an active medical license in the state, province, or
nation where the applicant resides
*have
a minimum of 5 years of clinical practice experience in
Anti-Aging and Regenerative Medicine-
Dr. Casas became certified to practice Age
Management Medicine through Cenegenics Medical
Institute in 2005 through the only Level 4 Continuing
Medical Education Program offered in the United
States. She has maintained a private medical practice
that focuses exclusively on Age Management
Medicine for men and women since then.
*have no significant disciplinary actions against the
physician
*have at least 200 hours minimum of Continuing
Medical
Education
(CME) credits (or equivalent study) referable to the
clinical practice and some aspect of preventive
medicine, anti-aging medicine, nutritional medicine or
diagnostic medicine during the past eight
years.
Part I of the Board
Certification
Examination is a rigorous three-hour multiple-choice
written
examination which assesses proficiency in several
areas of anti-aging clinical care, with a predominant
focus on practical knowledge skills in diagnostic and
therapeutic interventions, nutritional therapies, and
pharmaceuticals, as well as essential knowledge of
endocrinology, cardiovascular, cancer, cognitive
diseases, diabetes, respiratory diseases, and
musculoskeletal issues.
Dr. Casas scored in
the top 1% in the world on this written
examination.
In the Oral Examination portion
of Part II, candidates are questioned by two oral
examiners during an in-person, private exam
interview. Generally, the oral exam takes typically 40
to 60 minutes and consists of one or two standardized
mock cases and related clinical questions.
After passing Part II and verification by
ABAARM of completion of the physician's certification
criteria, s/he may refer to her/himself as "Certified" in
Anti-Aging and Regenerative Medicine by the
American Board of Anti-
Aging & Regenerative Medicine.
