Greetings!

Year of the Gael Saint Mary's College,

the home of the Gael,

is 150 years old!

We think that calls for a celebration. No, a GAELEBRATION! Join us as we commemorate our sesquicentennial with a year full of events -- from the serious to the seriously fun.

Visit YearoftheGael.com for stories, videos and photos of the Brothers, SMC traditions and Gaelblazers and to learn more about sesquicentennial events all year long!

YEAR OF THE GAEL!

Saturday, September 15, 5-7 p.m.
This is the official kick-off of the year of sesquicentennial celebrations. Bishop Emeritus the Most Rev. John S. Cummins, DD, will preside and the homily will be given by Fr. Xavier Lavagetto, OP '70. Reception to follow on the Chapel Plaza.

Saturday, October 6, 11 a.m.-6 p.m.
Join your fellow Gaels on campus for the big sesquicentennial bash -- an unprecedented day of fun for the whole family, featuring interactive programs and attractions, including rides, performances, live bands, athletic demonstrations and giveaways. Gourmet food trucks and carnival fare will provide something tasty for everyone. And it's free!

Saturday, November 3, 6-11 p.m.
With the spectacular backdrop of the San Francisco skyline, the "Jewel of the Bay" on Treasure Island is Saint Mary's black-tie event of the sesquicentennial year. Tickets are $500 per person, and proceeds will benefit student scholarships.
