AAP News

Dear ,

Damien FatongiaCongratulations on what has been a very successful recruiting cycle! Thanks to your efforts, we were able to recruit, admit and enroll not only the largest class in Saint Mary's College history, but also the most academically talented and diverse group of students. Nearly 20% of the students who deposited at Saint Mary's were admitted with Honors, and over half of the class self-identify as students of color. These incredible statistics are the results of a combination of an aggressive marketing campaign, successful academic and athletic programs, and the commitment to incredible service from volunteers like you!

Although the College is not planning on expanding its current student population, our hope is that we continue to attract high ability students. We will only be able to do this with your continued support as a member of the Alumni Admissions Program (AAP). Thank you again for all that you have done and I look forward to working with you in the upcoming year.

Yours for Saint Mary's,

Damien Fatongia '05

AAP Reports for Fall 2009 / Spring 2010

I am happy to report that we were slightly up in alumni college fair participation this year. However, the biggest increase came with the number of alumni endorsed applications. There was a 44% increase over the previous all time high in applications endorsed by alumni. Of the alumni endorsed applications, 157 deposits were received for the coming fall, an increase of 35% from the previous year.

Moving forward, we hope to diversify our geographical reach to the East Coast, the Mid-West, and the state of Texas. If you know of any alumni that would serve as great representatives in these particular areas, please forward their names and a contact e-mail to me so that I may contact them. Below you will see a year to year comparison of our activities as a group:
