Join Gael wine lovers and friends on campus Aug. 16 for a fun afternoon of socializing and tasting wine from more than 25 wineries. The event helps to raise money for the Lasallian scholarship fund.

Professor Sepehr ZabihPolitics Professor Sepehr Zabih Dies
Sepehr Zabih, a distinguished politics professor and faculty member of Saint Mary's College for more than 40 years, died on July 11 at age 84.

Graduate Business Golf Tournament
Come out on Aug. 17 to the beautiful Diablo Country Club for the 7th Annual Graduate Business Golf Tournament. The four-person scramble will begin at noon with a shotgun start, and prizes will be awarded to the top teams at the post-tournament dinner.

On Wed., Aug. 12, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.,  the Hearst Art Gallery will host a Bonhams and Butterfields appraisal clinic. Specialists will be on hand to appraise historic and modern California and American paintings, furniture, decorative arts, Asian art and jewelry.

Men's basketball coach Randy BennettMen's Basketball to Hold an Open Practice
The men's basketball team is departing to Australia to play in a foreign tour on Aug. 7, and head coach Randy Bennett has opened the team's final practice to season ticket holders, fans and alumni to allow them to get an inside look at the team's progress before it departs.

30th Annual Gael Classic Invitational Golf Tournament
Come out on Sept. 14 for the annual tournament at Discovery Bay Country Club. All proceeds from the tournament and live auction go to the Gael Athletic Scholarship Fund.

WCC Basketball Tournament Will Stay in Las Vegas
The West Coast Conference and Orleans Arena announced last month a three-year contract extension that will keep the WCC men's and women's basketball championships in Las Vegas through 2012.
