Game Expected to be a Sell Out
Come home to Saint Mary's on Jan. 17 as we celebrate everything that is great about being a Gael. The day will begin with the Annual Alumni Awards Luncheon, followed by Mass and a pre-game rally in the Soda Center before the men's basketball team takes on the Pepperdine Waves. Read more.

Enjoy some great food and drink as we honor George Schmitt '65 (Alumnus of the Year), Clare Schmitt (Honorary Alumna), Bob Kozlowski '50 (Signum Fidei), Michael Johnson '87 (Certificate of Merit), Dr. John Dennis (John Baptist De la Salle Award, posthumously) and Erin Gilbert '02 (GOLD Award). SMC In Circle is Coming Before the end of the month, the College will introduce you to the Saint
Mary's In Circle, a new networking tool designed exclusively for Saint Mary's alumni. SMC In Circle was created to help you connect with Saint Mary's College,
employers and other Saint Mary's alums.

invited to get on board the 2nd Annual Gaels Gone Wild Alumni Spring Break
Cruise to Ensenada, Mexico. The 3-day Baja cruise on Carnival Cruise Lines will

 Longtime Regent Jerry Fitzpatrick '42 Dies F. Gerard "Jerry" Fitzpatrick '42, a legendary figure at Saint Mary's College
and in Contra Costa County for more than six decades, passed away on Dec. 30. He

Bill Ayers Part of Jan Term Speaker Series In 2009, the Jan Term Speaker Series at Saint Mary's
College features Bill Ayers and four other provocative speakers throughout the

Macken Debate Team Achieves National Ranking At midseason,
the National Parliamentary Debate Association ranks SMC's Macken Debate Team
19th out of 195 participating colleges and universities. This is the highest
ranking in the young team's history and places it ahead of other California
colleges, including UC Berkeley, UCLA and Pepperdine.Read more about the team.
Students Examine Migrant Labor Issues As part of the office of Mission and Ministry's immersion programs, 19 students traveled to Salinas to get a sampling of life for migrant farm workers. Read more.
Philippine Alumni Start First International Chapter Brother President Ronald Gallagher and special assistant Brother Dominic Berardelli traveled to the Philippines and were greeted by the first international SMC alumni chapter. Read more about chapter programs.
CLAM Event for JanuaryThe Committee for Lectures, Art and Music brings one of
the world's preeminent jazz innovators, trombonist Steve Turre, and his quartet
to Saint Mary's College for an evening of unparalleled entertainment. A member of the Saturday Night Live Band
since 1984, Turre teaches at Juilliard and maintains an active international
