Hundreds Come Out in Support of Rugby
More than 300 alumni and friends of SMC rugby were on hand Nov. 22 for the Pat Vincent Cup and a dinner dance fundraiser featuring "Butch Whacks and the Glass Packs." The event raised more than $60,000, which will go to support the rugby club. See the pictures.

Female Professors Celebrate Milestone 2008 marks the 15th anniversary of the Women's Studies Program and the 10th anniversary of the Women's Resource Center. Several prominent, longtime female faculty discussed their experiences at the College as the student body has grown from being all male to 60 percent female. Read more.
Post-Election Panel Reflects on Obama Victory A group of journalists and faculty including San Francisco Chronicle writer Carla Marinucci and KCBS political analyst Mike Sandalow spoke to a group of more than 200 students about the results and historic significance of the presidential election. Celebrate the Season Alumni are invited to celebrate the holidays at the East Bay and Sacramento Chapter Christmas Parties. The East Bay's "White Christmas" will be at Bing Crosby's in Walnut Creek on Dec. 4 and the Sacramento event will be at Chicago Fire Pizza on Dec. 10. Come out and join in the festivities. C.L.A.M. Christmas Event The Committee for Lectures, Art and Music presents "A
Musical Celebration for Christmas" on Dec. 6 at 8 p.m. in the Chapel.
The Sonos Handbell Quartet
and San Francisco Choral Artists combine for the perfect concert to welcome the
holiday season. Suggested donations: $25 general; $20 seniors (65+); $12 for SMC

Liturgy of Lights This annual Mass for
students, faculty, staff, Christian Brothers and alumni will be celebrated in
the Chapel on Sunday, Dec. 7, at 8 p.m. Following the liturgy, the Mission and
Ministry Center and the Alumni Office are sponsoring a Christmas celebration
party with tree lighting, Christmas carols, festive food and fellowship.
